THE PEOPLE versus the bid button
ALL RISE. Twelve managers received $200. They bought 156 players and left $69 behind. Several built basketball teams. Several bought three basketball players and a group project. The court has receipts, and the commissioners will be tried first.
James's Scary Team spent $185 on Luka, Shai and Bam. Ten other players share $15. James, the scary part is payroll. Your stars got contracts. Everybody else was hired for the exposure. Seven players cost $1, which means your bench can be outbid by a vending machine.
Michelle gave Cade, Mitchell, LaMelo and Garland $191. Her other nine players cost a dollar each. Game of Throws has four VIPs and nine people holding their coats. The court recommends a tip jar beside the lineup screen. Perhaps the stars can help fund their own supporting cast.
Kayla paid $75 for Brunson, $67 for Giannis and $38 for Sabonis. Experiment 626 has $180 in three ingredients and $20 in ten test subjects. The new alien logo has four arms. Good. Somebody has to carry this bench.
Commissioner John bought Davis, Durant and Kawhi for $73 combined, the same price as James's Luka. Then The Professors left $18 unused. John brought a calculator, assembled a syllabus and forgot to spend the stationery allowance. Unused auction money earns zero points. The school does not issue refunds.
Co-commissioner Janise left $29 behind, the biggest unused balance in the room. Jahs Finest Team spent $171 of a free $200 budget. Janise, you negotiated against yourself and still came away with change. Please stop treating imaginary money like it needs to cover groceries.
Co-commissioner Mike Surin paid $86 for Jokic and $55 for Flagg. Brooklyn's two royal appointments consumed $141. Eleven other players share $59. The KINGS have passed a budget. The peasants have been invited to admire it.
GUILTY. Community service: explain your bench without using the word upside.
